    Terms and Conditions

    Last updated: October 25, 2026

    1. About these terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and JDL Enterprises Limited ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales with company number 10946659, whose registered office is at 62 West Hill, Rotherham, England S61 2EY.

They cover your use of Ouvert, including our website at https://ouvert.dev, the Ouvert chat bot, stream overlays, the Ouvert mobile app, the Ouvert Stream Deck plugin, the Ouvert API and any related services (together, the "Services").

By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

    2. About Ouvert

Ouvert is a song request service for rhythm game streamers. Streamers add their song lists, and their viewers request songs in chat or on the streamer's Ouvert page. Ouvert works with Twitch and YouTube, and supports a number of rhythm games.

Ouvert is free to use. If we ever offer paid features, they'll have their own terms, which we'll show you before you pay.

    3. Who can use Ouvert

To use the Services, you must:

    • be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age for using online services in your country if that's higher
    • have a parent's or guardian's permission if you're under 18
    • be allowed to use the platform you use Ouvert with (Twitch or YouTube) under that platform's own rules

    4. Your account

You sign in to Ouvert with a Twitch or YouTube account, and you can link more than one. You're responsible for:

    • keeping the platform accounts you sign in with secure
    • everything that happens through your Ouvert account
    • telling us straight away if you think someone else has used your account or API keys

    5. API keys, the mobile app and the Stream Deck plugin

Your dashboard gives you a public API key and a private API key. The mobile app, the Stream Deck plugin and other tools use them to connect to your account.

    • Keep your private key secret, like a password. Anyone who has it can control your queue, your requests and your bot.
    • Don't use the API in a way that overloads or disrupts the Services, or to copy large amounts of other people's content.
    • We may limit how often the API can be used, change the API, or cancel a key that's being misused.

    6. If you're a streamer

You decide how song requests work on your channel. You're responsible for:

    • Your channel's rules: whether requests are open, request limits, priority rules, the moderators you add and what they do, and the bot's commands and replies
    • What you add to Ouvert: your song lists, bot replies, overlay text and anything else you upload or type in
    • The music you play: Ouvert doesn't provide or stream any music. You need to have the right to play the songs you play on stream.
    • Following each platform's rules: including Twitch's and YouTube's terms and community guidelines

When you connect the bot to your channel, you allow Ouvert to read the chat on that channel, post replies to commands, and receive the channel events you turn on (such as Twitch raids and subscriptions). Your channel's song list, queue and the names of your requesters are shown publicly on your Ouvert page and in your overlays.

    7. Requesting songs

When you request a song from a streamer:

    • The streamer and their moderators decide what gets played, when, and whether to hold, skip or remove a request.
    • Follow the streamer's rules and any request limits on their channel.
    • Your username is shown publicly next to your request, on the streamer's Ouvert page, on stream and in chat. Our Privacy Policy explains this in more detail.

    8. Acceptable use

You must not use the Services to:

    • break any law or any platform's rules
    • harass, threaten or harm anyone
    • spam or flood a queue, or use bots or scripts to request songs or manipulate a queue
    • pretend to be someone else, or give false information
    • interfere with or disrupt the Services, or the servers and networks they run on
    • try to get into any part of the Services, or anyone's account, without permission
    • upload anything that infringes someone else's rights, or that's unlawful, offensive or harmful

    9. Twitch, YouTube and the games

Ouvert isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Twitch, YouTube, Google, or the makers of any game it supports. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners.

Ouvert relies on these platforms to work. If a platform changes its service or has an outage, some Ouvert features may stop working, and we can't always prevent that.

Ouvert uses YouTube API Services. By using Ouvert's YouTube features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

    10. Intellectual property

The Services, including the website, bot, apps, design, logos and software, belong to JDL Enterprises Limited or our licensors. You may use them only to use the Services as these Terms allow. You may not copy, change, distribute or sell any part of them without our written permission.

Ouvert's code isn't open source, but its development is open: anyone can suggest features or ideas in our Discord. If you send us a suggestion, we're free to use it without owing you anything for it.

Song titles, artist names and other song details belong to their owners.

You keep ownership of what you add to Ouvert, such as your song lists and settings. You give us permission to store, copy, display and use it to provide the Services. For example, we show your song list on your public page and include your channel's statistics in the Ouvert-wide Recap. This permission ends when you delete your account, except for anything already included in a Recap.

    11. Copyright complaints

Ouvert stores details about songs, such as titles, artists and chart information. It doesn't store or stream any music. If you believe something on Ouvert infringes your copyright, email us at contact@jdl-enterprises.co.uk with:

    • a description of the work you believe has been infringed
    • where the material is on Ouvert (for example, a link)
    • your contact details
    • a statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn't authorised
    • a statement that the information you've given is accurate and that you own the copyright or are allowed to act for the owner

    12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it and the rights you have.

    13. Changes to the Services

We're always improving Ouvert, so we may add, change or remove features, or stop offering part or all of the Services. Where we can, we'll give you reasonable notice of big changes. From time to time the Services may also be unavailable, for example during maintenance.

    14. Ending your use of Ouvert

You can stop using Ouvert at any time and ask us to delete your account. Our Privacy Policy explains how.

We may suspend or close your account, or block you from the Services, if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if you put the Services or other users at risk, or if the law or a platform requires us to. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why and give you notice first, unless we need to act straight away (for example, to stop abuse).

    15. Our responsibility to you

Ouvert is free and is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it running well, but we can't promise it'll always be available, free of errors, or work on every stream.

    We aren't responsible for:

    • what streamers, moderators or viewers do, or what they add to Ouvert
    • anything a platform such as Twitch or YouTube does, including outages and changes to its service
    • losses that weren't foreseeable, or that weren't caused by us breaking these Terms
    • business losses, such as lost income, sponsorships, viewers or followers

If we are responsible for a loss you suffer, our total responsibility to you is limited to £100.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit or exclude. If you're a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your legal rights.

    16. Claims caused by your content

If someone brings a claim against us because of content you added to Ouvert (such as your song list or bot replies), or because you broke these Terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with that claim.

    17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a significant change, we'll tell you on the website or in your dashboard at least 14 days before it takes effect, unless we need to make it sooner for legal or security reasons. If you don't agree with the change, you can stop using Ouvert and ask us to delete your account. If you keep using Ouvert after the change takes effect, the updated Terms apply. We'll always update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

    18. Law and disputes

If you have a problem with Ouvert, please contact us first and we'll try to sort it out.

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute about them. If you're a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you're a consumer living in the European Economic Area, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country, and you can bring proceedings in your local courts.

    19. Other important terms

    • These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services.
    • If a court decides part of these Terms isn't valid, the rest still applies.
    • If we don't enforce part of these Terms straight away, we can still enforce it later.
    • We may transfer this agreement to another organisation, for example if Ouvert is sold. We'll tell you if we do, and it won't affect your rights under these Terms.
    • Nobody else has any rights under these Terms.
